Skating Goes Live: Entertainment on Wheels

Glimpse how trick skaters of all kinds have wowed audiences across the globe.

Skating Goes Live: Entertainment on Wheels explores how live shows of roller skaters brought new ways of skating to the masses and showed what people could do on wheels. The exhibit gives visitors a look at how trick and fancy skating awed audiences on both the the vaudeville circuit and in live variety shows. The exhibit uses photographs and artifacts from NMRS's personal archival and artifact collections including material from the Jessie Darling collection and the Gloria Nord collection.

Enriching the experience of skaters and non-skaters alike, by increasing appreciation for the accomplishments and rich history of roller skating.
